Hey there! I’m Aanya, and I’m the founder of my very own NGO called Apni Almari, where we help bridge the gap between people who have surplus and people who are not as fortunate by setting up a communal almirah where people could donate their pre-loved items. But this isn’t the first time I’ve ventured into the world of entrepreneurship! Believe it or not, I kick-started my own small business when I was just 14 years old. It was a crazy ride, but I learned so much along the way.
If I had to sum up my personality, I’d say I’m honest, a team player, confident, hardworking, and definitely an ambivert. Striking that perfect balance between socializing and enjoying my me-time keeps me sane. And speaking of exploring the world, I had the incredible opportunity to attend a cultural exchange program in Hungary. Now here’s the twist: I used to be super introverted, like hiding-in-my-room-when-guests-come introverted! But guess what? That experience in Hungary changed me completely. I made friends from all over the globe and broke out of my shell, and it was beyond amazing.
Oh, and you know what I secretly love? Bollywood movies, especially those cheesy, unrealistic ones by the fabulous Karan Johar! There’s something about those films that makes me forget about reality for a while and just enjoy the magic of storytelling. So yeah, that’s a bit about me – an enthusiastic change-maker who’s equally passionate about Bollywood fantasies.
